Meeting: Learn about Italian Wines – SA Style

24 August              Italian Wines – SA Style

Italy is the new France! South African wine styles are changing. There’s a move from away from some classic Bordeaux to Rhone varietals/blends to wines using the excellent Italian cultivars. We don’t have to import from Italy when our own winemakers are using grapes such as Pinot Grigio, Nebbiolo, Sangiovese and Barbera. I shall be picking out an exciting and enticing mix of white, rosé and red wines for us to explore and enjoy.

RSVP Essential. Please fill in form to attend.

About the meetings

We meet monthly on Thursday evenings in Wynberg at 7.00 for 7.30pm. Eight wines are showcased at each meeting. You will receive an information folder and there is a cheese board after. The R300 per person fee covers costs. You also have the opportunity to order any of the wines tasted. Full details will be sent out before each meeting. RSVP essential.
